Trauma Surgery

Trauma surgery is the treatment of bone fractures and joint or ligament injuries. These can occur from high speed car accidents to sporting mishaps.

Dr Sam Young is a consultant at Royal Perth Hospital and performs complex trauma surgery there. He has a sub-specialty interest in pelvic and acetabular trauma surgery.

For patients with urgent and semi-urgent injuries, surgery may not need to be undertaken straight away and you may be seen as an outpatient to have your surgery planned to suit you. Trauma and injury referrals can be seen urgently if required.
